Juanita-Office Manager

I have been in dentistry for 34 years as a Lab Technician and Dental Assistant.  The last nine years I have been in management.  My education includes Expanded Functions and Radiology taken at the University of Florida.  I have also taken a number of Continuing Education clases and I am certified in CPR.  I enjoy working with the doctor and the staff and seeing that patients are happy with our services.  When I am not at the office I enjoy being outdoors, swimming and being with my family and baby sitting my grandson Parker and my granddaughter Danica.

Wendy-Patient Coordinator

I am one of the first of many smiling faces you will see during your visit. I have been in the dental field since 1984 as a dental assistant, office manager, hygiene coordinator and patient coordinator. My education includes Expanded Functions in Dental Assisting and Radiology, taken at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Fl. and I am certified in Dentrix Dental Systems. I often take Continuing Education classes to keep me up on the new technology. I have been employed with Dr. Thomas Harter since 1999. I was born and raised in Ocala. I have a daughter, Heather (Born 1989) and two step sons, J.C. (Born 1981) and Neil (Born 1985). I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband (Roger) and the rest of the family. My hobbies are camping, fishing, hunting and following the NASCAR circuit.

Allison-Patient Coordinator

My name is Allison and I will be one of first to say hello as you enter the office. I have been at Dr. Harter & Associates since 2004. I have been in the field since 2001.  I was born and  raised in North Carolina. I worked my way down the eastern seaboard before settling in Ocala. I am currently enrolled at Santa Fe Community College, to become a dental hygienist. I have a beautiful baby girl, a wonderful husband, and a pampered kitty named Roxy.

Our Dental Assistants are in tune with patient needs. They are wonderful with patients, and will make sure you are always comfortable.

Mary-Dental Assistant

My name is Mary. I have been assisting for 16 years. I’ve been working with Dr. Harter for 10 years. My Education includes Expanded Functions and Radiology taken at the University of Florida. Also have CPR Certification with other dental related courses to keep up with the changes for the patients and the office. I enjoy working with others. I am married with two children, both girls and two grandsons. I enjoy swimming and the outdoors.

Janice-Dental Assistant

Hello my name is Janice, I’m originally from Massachusetts and have been an assistant for 25 years. I have been assisting Dr. Harter for ten years, and have my Expanded Functions from the University of Florida and Radiology from Massachusetts. I am certified in CPR and take continuing education classes with Dr. Harter and staff. I like the diversity of my position, and enjoy helping people. I have a husband, 3 children and 5 grandchildren. On my days off I love to travel and shop.

 

 
Meliah-Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Meliah and I have been working with Dr. Harter since 1996. I have my expanded functions and radiology from the University of Florida. I am also certified in CPR and have taken a number of continuing educational classes. I enjoy working with everyone in the office and having fun. I have  3 children and I enjoy what little time I get to myself.

Shelly-Hygienist Assistant, Dental Assistant

Hi, my name is Shelly.  I have been in the field for 10 years. I have worked for Dr. Harter for 5 1/2  years an assistant. My education includes Expanded Functions, Radiology and CPR Certification. I enjoy working with our staff,  we make a great team. I am married with two children and enjoy the outdoors, traveling and shopping.

 

 

 

Crystal- Dental Assistant

Hello, my name is Crystal.  I am originally from Puerto Rico.  I speak fluent Spanish and Portugese.  I've been in the dental field since I attended CFCC in 2006 and took a Dental Assisting Vocational course.  I have a husband and one child, his name is Spike (he is my dog).  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Robin-RDH

Hi, My name is Robin and I have been in dentistry since 1993. My education includes a Hygiene  Degree, RDH from Santa Fe Community College with Expanded Functions, Radiology and CPR certification. I also received Hugh Friedy Golden Scaler Award and Sam Lowe’s Root Planing course at the University of Florida. I am the newest member of the Dr. Harter team and bring with me 10 years of experience. I previously worked with 2 Periodontists. I have 2 great kids and a Yorkie I love named “Elvis”.  In my spare time I like to shop, spend time with friends and family and travel.  I look forward to meeting you!

Kim-RDH

Hi, My name is Kimberly. I was born and raised in Florida. I graduated in 1998 from Santa Fe Community College, in Gainesville Florida, and received an Associates of Science specializing in dental hygiene. I’m certified in CPR and have been working for Dr. Harter since 1999. Working here has been a wonderful and challenging experience. Dr. Harter has the most up to date dental techniques and treatment. I am proud to be working as a team player. The highlight of my job is educating my patients.We have a strong commitment to treating periodontal disease. Throughout the years working here I have had the pleasure of treating patients on a more personal level and it has made my job more enriching. I have two beautiful little angles in my life, my children age 6 and 2 years old. We enjoy the beach, painting, and our fish aquarium.

Tina-RDH, RDH, CDA

I began my career in dentistry in sunny South Florida in 1998.  First, as a Dental Assistant then, furthered my education and became a Dental Hygienist.  I moved to Ocala in 2004, bought my first home, started here at Dr. Harter and Associates and met the true love of my life.  I am happily married and have two great dogs.  As your dental health professional I want you to be confident knowing that I pride myself in providing the care you need to keep your smile healthy.  To give you this I attend continual education courses, dental lectures and meetings.  I also use dental conventions as a resourse to stay informed with the newest techniques, latest products, and equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state of the art dental care.

Lynn-RDH

Working with Dr. Harter's team of professionals and our patients is truly a pleasure and most fulfilling.  I'm dedicated to knowing my patients on a personal level, serving your needs to the fullest and have a strong commitment to preventing periodontal disease.  After graduating in 1982 from Loyola University (New Orleans) with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene, my first job was in the border town of Laredo, TX.  I've had the satisfaction of working in practices that specialize in Pediatric Dentistry and Periodontics.  I'm licensed in Florida and Texas and was certified in laser technology in 1996, which is no longer recognized for hygienists in Florida.  In addition to a hygiene degree, my education includes Expanded Functions, Radiology, Sam Lowe's Root Planing and CPR certifications.  I'm a native Floridian, born in St. Pete and raised in both Miami and Lighthouse Point.  As a wife and mother of four, I truly enjoy my family, friends, traveling and showing my horses.
